Founded in 1820, Dixwell Avenue Congregational United Church of Christ is the oldest formally recognized African American Congregational Church in the world — and one of the most beloved and historic faith communities among Black churches in New Haven, CT.  

We are a multicultural and progressive congregation rooted in the Black church tradition, committed to liberation, justice, and radical welcome.
